Don't Call It Love: Recovery From Sexual Addiction by Patrick Carnes
One of the best books written by Dr. Carnes in regards to sexual addiction. Reading this book was a true eye opener for me.

In The Shadows of The Net: Breaking Free from Compulsive Online Sexual Behavior (Paperback)
This is another great book written by Dr. Carnes. Unlike his other books, he wastes very little time explaining the aspects of sexual and pornography addiction and goes on to provide a practical solution instead.

Out of the Shadows: Understanding Sexual Addiction by Patrick Carnes
This is the last book by Dr. Carnes that I am going to recommend. It is by far the most popular of his books, so I am not going to dwell on it too much. I do think that his other books deserve a chance, that is why I've listed them first.

Treating Pornography Addiction: The Essential Tools for Recovery This book is the number one search result on Amazon.com for pornography addiction, and there is a good reason for it. It was not made to teach people more about the pornography addiction; instead it provides simple steps and tools that can be followed from the beginning of your recover to the end. This is truly is a great and simple book

The Drug of the New Millennium - The Brain Science Behind Internet Pornography Use by Mark B. Kastleman
Unlike other books listed here, this book takes a deeper look into the neurological processes that take place in the brain of a porn addict. The material from that book was quoted in one of my other posts titled Pornography - The Visual Drug and you can take a look at it, if you would like more information.

Kill the Craving: How to Control the Impulse to Use Drugs and Alcohol by Joseph Santoro
This book was design with alcohol and drug addicts in mind, but it provided me with a great tool to break out of my obsessive compulsive cycle. Word of warning, if you are going to use the techniques outlined in the book to treat internet or pornography addiction make sure to visualize your trigger instead of looking at the actual image like the book suggests.

The Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-Free Play by Dr. Neil Fiore
I personally have found that struggling with procrastination was one of the major reasons that I felt down and depressed. It seemed that I just couldn't get myself to do anything, and would use any means to escape reality and feelings of guilt and responsibility that came with it. This book helped me a lot, and I am still going back to it every day to learn more about some of the reasons why I would procrastinate, and I manage to learn something new every time.

Awaken Your Strongest Self: Break Free of Stress, Inner Conflict, and Self-Sabotage by Dr. Neil Fiore
This is the only book on the list that I have not yet read myself (I am currently in the process of reading it). However I was so impressed by the material that I found early on in the book that I had to include it on this list. The author starts the book, by explaining the different stages of how our brains developed, and why some of these stages are responsible for certain desires, fears and behaviors. I will probably update this description when the right time comes, but I had to share this resource as soon as I could.
Audiobooks

Accelerated Learning Techniques by Brain Tracy
I loved this audiobook. It takes the most recent knowledge about the human brain, and applies it to the task of learning. I am linking to the cassette version, just because it has more reviews, but Amazon does have a CD version. Also make sure to get the attached workbook, because it is as important as the recording itself.

Joe and Charlie Big Book study - Recorded in 1998
Joe and Charlie are two Alcoholics who have been sober for over 30 years. It also appears that their overall lives have been in order. Joe and Charlie are strong believers in the 12 steps program. Joe and Charlie are funny, and they were able to get sober and stay sober, and helped hundreds of others do the same. They do not have the solution to all problems, but it is an interesting audiobook nevertheless. And it is free.

The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous
Once again, this is classic of every addict. There are numerous 12 steps groups exist for almost any addiction. I couldn't get myself to read the book at first but  I read it at a later time. But listening to a free audiobook seemed like a better option.

Getting Things Done: The Art Of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen
This is another great resource for getting organized. You can get it in a book form if you like, but I think it is more valuable as an audiobook.
Online Support Groups
Daily Strength
This is a great website that has a support group for literally every known and unknown problem related to the both mental and physical healthcare. It is a great place to get started, get anonymous advice and support,  and stay current on the most recent issues.
Recovery Nation
This is an online group designed to help people struggling with sex, love, and pornography addictions. It is a free resource.
Candeo Can Recovery Program
This is a paid online training program co-authored by Mark Kastleman and two other PH.D's in psychology. They do offer a lot of free resources on their website including podcasts and a free mini course.
Rational Recovery
This is another free recovery resource, which is based on Addictive Voice recognition, something the author of the website invented himself when he was struggling with his addiction to the alcohol.
Non 12 Steps Groups
Smart Recovery
S.M.A.R.T. stands for Smart Management and Recovery Training, and it uses cognitive based approach to change human behaviours.
Software
K9 Web Protection
This website offers a free fully featured web filter. You can set it up to block certain sites based on keywords or category, it records every website that you've visited, and is a great tool to stay honest in the confidential world of the internet. It is better to have somebody password protect it for you, so you will not be able to change the settings when tempted.
X3Watch
This is also free accountability software, unlike K9 it does not block any websites, but it keeps a record of all the questionable websites that you've visited, and emails them to your accountability partner on bi-weekly basis.
Covenant Eyes
This website offers both accountability software and filter. I included it here primarily for its accountability software. You have to pay for it, but it is more featured than X3Watch, and I think it is a better investment than the paid version of X3Watch. Update: Now you can use code FeedTheRightWolf during checkout to get the first month of Covenant Eyes free!
Safe Eyes
Somebody I know is using this software and is pretty happy with it. $50 a year would get you both filter and accountability software for your computer and your iPhone. A pretty good deal, and another great tool to consider for your recovery.
