How to Talk to Your Addict and Create Mindfulness by Sex and Porn Addiction Coach Kevin Behan

Kevin Behan is our new coach at Feed the Right Wolf. Watch this video as Kevin shows you how to talk to your addict, that part of you that wants to act out, to engage in behaviors that will harm you in the long run. This powerful technique can change your life.

Have you ever really stopped and listened to the voice that tells you it’s time to watch porn, to masturbate? Or stopped to listened to your voice that is compelling you to act out sexually? Does it tell you that you’re not good enough, that you’ll never stop. Who IS that?

Remember the phases of the addiction cycle [addiction cycle pop up definition] . . . 1. Trigger or external stimuli, 2. thought; 3. action. T.T.A. Now, I want you to focus on #2, the second T of T.T.A, the THOUGHT.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic to know who’s talking to you in your head all the time. . . Where did that thought come from? Who is behind that voice that holds you back? Makes you sad? makes you feel angry? makes you feel afraid? and drives your addiction. And how incredibly powerful would it be to talk to those voices? to Find out what they need?

These voices are called subpersonalities, not split personalities—Subpersonalities.

Part of you can actually hear them, listen to them, talk to them, and do the right thing instead of what these negative subpersonalities are urging you to do. Hearing yourself and talking to yourself in this way does not make you crazy . . . in fact, it can make you sane.

So far, you’ve probably allowed the voices of your subpersonalities, the voices coming from the darkness of the stage of YOUR mind to control you. If you don’t know how to hear the voices of your subpersonality you can become a porn zombie, a masturbating monkey, someone consumed with getting off sexually. Walking in darkness.

In this lesson you are going to learn about your subpersonalities and what they’re saying. You will understand that these voices that you haven’t been able to recognize have been taking over your sex life. There may be just one voice or many voices in there telling you to look at porn or visit a prostitute or whatever else YOUR voices might be telling you to do. Those voices are the ones we’re interested in. Let’s talk more about your subpersonalities and how to turn the lights on in YOUR stage.
