Hi cojerc,
We've all been there.... it seems that even those of us that have been really successful had some relapses along the way. Part of getting better is learning why we are addicted... sometimes that means falling down. We just have to learn from it when it happens. Even if it happens over and over again, just don't lose hope!
Hi amdg,
I agree with you, I learnt now and have to move forward.

Cojerc,
I am proud of you for your recovery so far. Don't let this turn into a bigger problem, keep coming back! Let's figure out what lead to this relapse so we can prevent it from happening again

Your friend,
Absolution.
Hi friend Absolution,
Now I clearly understood what you said 'To relinquish control' at the same time to accept we always need Higher power's guidance to deal with this addiction. I figured it out, increase stress related to the preparation of my exam and other personal issues caused my relapse, but i take complete responsibility for my actions. Thanks friend.

Hi Cojerc,
What does one relaps mean in comparision to thirty some sober days plus 40 days earlier? So all in all over 70 days and only one or two "relapses". In that comparision those are no relapses but a minor distraction (really). You can't compare 76 to 2 or 3. Imagine a boxer who won 76 contests and lost only 2 or 3 . He is still a world champion ( with that record)!!!
Now don't think about 2,3 but about 76 and don't go on a binge. That can be only dangerous and really lost cause.I would be so happy having your score (76 to 2)!!!
Hi mombasa,
I agree with you 100%, we don't need to be perfect for getting recovered. Really until now when you pointed out I didn't think in this persepective. 2 or 3 is nothing compared to 70+ days. Thank you mombasa

Cojerc, don't get down on yourself. You have had success. Sometimes in order to get to where you want to be you have to sometimes take 2 steps forward and one step back. Where would we be in the world if the people you discovered, say how to broadcast pictures over the air (tv), if they did not fail and fail again? Each time they failed they learned what went wrong and fixed the problem. Where are we now? TV all over the world in an instant. Your recovery is the same thing. Every time you fail, analyze what happened, figure out why it happened and then institute the changes necessary to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Stay positive and don't give up, my friend.
Hi ineedhelp,
Thanks friend, there has been immense support around here. I'll not give up friend. As you said I've taken enough steps forward to worry about one step back.

Hey Cojerc,
Don't let yourself lose that faith you have in yourself and in your recovery. It's just a bump in your bumpy ride in this recovery. I will be back soon to be there to support you. Stay strong and focus on your studies. Chuck whatever happened, right now your goal is to succeed in your upcoming exam. Don't let your guard be down just cause you had a relapse. Maybe you had this relapse because you weren't frequent on this site and were going out of focus. Keep coming back and post here. I myself was struggling few times cause of all those distracting fantasies so I started again to give a visit here in every day or two.
