Hi Alphacode,

I'm glad you took my post constructively and that it didn't discourage you. One thing in early recovery that helped me was going to check-in and feedback meetings in SAA, where we broke into small groups and shared what's going on in our recovery, then got feedback from other members. It's vital to get outside yourself and I know how hard that is.

Your friend,
Absolution.

Welcome Alpha.
You seem like a very humble person to be able to receive a bit of counsel as well as you did.

I have to say that I agreed with Absolutions comments, I found them fair and balanced.
When reading your previous posts I felt (to be honest) that you weren't taking your recovery seriously enough.
I even felt myself being triggered a bit by what you wrote.

Just my 2 cents. You're a good person, you have a good attitude, and you will get there.
We all benefit from getting some help along the way, that's why we are here, to support each other.

Keep up the good work.

Let me warn you, I'm not a humble person, at all.

I've been an only child most of my life and I've felt like I was the center of the universe for too long. I was talking about it with my girlfriend yesterday night, that I want to stop being an arrogant prick and become a humbler person. I also feel her acceptance and support and it's something huge.

When cold hard truth hits me, I accept it, as dumbstruck as I may be. It is indeed necessary.

I will update you with tomorrow's journal, I had a fantastic day today with my family. And not only that, I will start reading into other journals. I'd like to give you all my 2 cents. Thanks a lot, guys. You have all my support.

Your friend,
alphacode

Humility is interesting, in that you can't try to be humble. I think it's a result of many experiences and of the act of surrendering to something greater than yourself.

Glad you had a great day today, keep coming back and keep us updated.

Your friend,
Absolution.

Hello friends.

As part of recent realizations, I've decided to stay off my computer for 30 days. I will give you an extensive update about my recovery process right after. Thank you for your support.

Your friend,
alphacode
