hi :). i'm new to this forum. i signed up to this forum because i wanted to try something new in my efforts to overcome this problem.
first things first, i'm addicted to P&M. i tried to overcome this habit by myself but i always seem to relapse and fall back into the same addictive cycle.
but reading other members blogs about their success showed me that it can be done, although it will take a lot of hard work and determination.
as a result, i am actually going to try and kick this habit because the effects of watching porn and masturbating afterwards are not worth it.

My triggers are as follows
- boredom
- being home alone
- late nights
- security (in the fact that i might go a couple of days without p&m and say it is okay to watch porn and masturbate, you've gone "X" number of days, it is OK)
i'm aware of these triggers but that is of no help if i'm not taking them seriously.
in addition, i need to develop a method of overcoming the cravings when the urge arises.

wish me luck as i am starting from this point in my journey to being free from P&M.

Welcome to the forum, pitchlakekid! You're absolutely right that the effects are never worth it. Ever.

You've made great progress writing down your triggers. Knowing the causes is the first step towards eliminating them. For overcoming cravings, I'd recommend Mini ERP--it's explained in Chapter 13 (page 33) of the Free Recovery Course. If you haven't read the course already, go ahead and work through it. It explains a lot and offers some really good techniques for success.

Thanks for the support. I know it is going to be difficult, but it has to be done because I can't see no way around it.

Sorry for not taking a little bit of time from my day to post on the forum. I am trying my best to stop p&m but it feels no matter how hard I try, i relapse and fall back into the addictive cycle. I am writing because I relapsed again and all those negative feelings that are associated with p&m comes flooding right back. And the sad thing is that I know that it is not good but the longer I try to stay away from p&m, the stronger the urges becomes and as soon as I know it, I'm back to where I started.

So here I am starting back from scratch. wish me luck.
