Welcome, Adalrichk.

It's great that you had the courage to post here. I hope you find what you need to move forward. Remember to keep coming back and posting; when you help yourself you are helping us all, and vice versa.

Your friend,

Absolution, Nick123,

Many Thanks.....I am Heartened by the Welcome and the Kind & Encouraging Words from You both...This Evening too I felt the Urge until a Few Hours back. I tried the Breathing (ERP) Technique and ith helped, but I've been in This Situation before as well and can see that 30 Days is a Long Hard Road to Travel.

All the Wrong Reasons to Fall to the Temptation are there and all the Right Reasons to Avoid as well, the Question is, whether the Motivation is there or not?...I'll do my Best to help Us all Out here....Thanks.

Best,

Hey Adalrichk!
30 days might seem like a long long way away now but don't loose hope!
When I first joined I was given some great advise and to paraphrase - take every day as it comes, try not to think
about the future - It's like trying to climb a mountain, just focus on each step you take instead of trying to do it
all at once.

Keep posting, keep reading about porn addiction and the effects it has on your brain and you will make it!

Thanks LT,

Yes You're right....no Point thinking about too Far Ahead....I know Everything about This Addiction...I've Learnt and Read Up a Lot about it....but just Can't seem to Control it....I've so Much more Knowledge about it now and such Deeper Understanding....That I can tell Exactly When, Why, How I Slip-Up.

So Nice to hear that from You..Many Thanks.

Adalrich.

A Week now since the Last Slip-Up. I am trying to be as Self-Aware as I can...Practicing ERP and noting Down each time I Practice it.

I know This time around, I have the Serious Intent to quit, but as Serious as the Intent is, as the Hard the Temptation is as well....knowing Well from Past Experience.

I am trying to create all the Right Reasons to Stop and Move one...This is Empty and Shallow a Waste of Time and causes nothing more than More Emptiness...sadly, We've got it so Ingrained into Us that it at Times seems beyond Redemption.

Congrats on a week without porn Adalrichk!

You've done really well to have read all about the addiction but One thing that will come with time is understanding of yourself.
Looking into why you want to act out, what is really causing it, will help you to understand and control the urges much better.

One of the best things I have learnt and which ERP really helps with is that if you can just step out of that fight
against yourself and see your addiction objectively it becomes easier to get through the cravings for porn.
When you are looking it logically you know that it is irrational and wont help you at all and that distance will
take the emotional struggle away, which is what I have the biggest trouble coping with.

Stay strong

LT

LT,

Many Thanks...I've gone Several Weeks before as well with out Really Slipping, but then have gone right back into it. I am in that stage You know. I am not as Addicted/Obsessed as I was before and never was on it for Hours & Hurs a Day...but Yes I've been Obsessed with This for Long.

Yes very rightly said....ERP can certainly help...I've been practicing it....trouble is I don't see much difference in the Pulse Rate between before Mental Stimulation and after....I ma not really able to Create a Strong Stimulation in the Mind...hence my Pule stays the same....Beathing also stays the same...probably because I am not faced with any Real Trigger just as yet.

Anyone can Comment?...

Thanks.

More than a Week now....I'm trying not to entertain Thoughts...There are Urges..temptations...Triggers....but I've come to Realize that it's just best not to pay any attention whatsoever to Them....and Practicing ERP is definitely helpful...
