This is what I use now that also helps. I need to remember this. I havent been a frequent user these last two years but on occasion I have succumbed. This is helping. Before I let myself believe the lie.

You wouldn't rape a women, right. Good. You wouldn't use a prostitute who had been trafficked right? Good. But you use porn. Dont believe the lie. There are not a class of women who are different to your mothers, wives, girlfriends or daughters who are just " gagging for it" , who have the boundless sexual appetites that many men have. There are just confused, sad, thickskinned, abused, desperate, alcoholic, drug addicted females who have slid into a method of survival which dehumanizes them, brutalizes them and sometimes diseases them. If they are fortunate enough to leave the industry they will take many years to recover if they ever do. Would you want that for any of the women in your life? So if you love women and you look at a screen depicting one porno graphically then ask yourself what is her story? What is her heartache? Never mind she is smiling she is probably just blissed out on something or at least a very good actress. What if she was my wife/sister/ daughter. Activate your protective instincts to counter your other instincts. Feel compassion and click out.

Very well put. What a disgrace the world has become. By watching we support all that you mentioned.
It's sick and we won't stop it, but we can stop it for ourselves.
REAL men do NOT do to women what is shown in porn. We cannot kid ourselves and say that women love to be abused.

Such an excellent point, Hlavin57. It's a much-need perspective on things that I think most of us (myself at least) haven't considered. Keep up the encouraging and thought-provoking reflections. This one is a powerful thing to remember.
