195 Days sober!
To help break the habit/addiction one needs some solid reasons.
Why do we want to do it?
so here are some of my reasons and good reminders for me.

1. Show my love for my wife and God.
2. Keep control over my mind and body and not be like a slave to my cravings.
3. Not feeling like a hypocrite.
4. No secrets.
5. In no way do I want to encourage this awful industry.

Add to the list if you wish!

Peter

9. Example to children.
10. Be a real Man!!! (I love this one)
11. Not wasting precious time that could be spent with my family.

199 Days Sober. I am still new at this but the days tick away.
Focus on the process and not so much on the days.
Progress comes from the good changes we make in our lives.

Peter

p.s. Its just a screen with bits and bytes, turn it to the side and see that the porn is not real!
Switch it off and you see a black screen....
Try to MB to that

202 Days Sober :!:
Focused not to become complacent. When around beautiful women, I remember that I am happily married and that thinking about these women will lead to porn. No thank you! My life is rebooting. My brain is rebooting and I love the better me.

206 Days Sober!
Reading all the new journals here. Sad stories.
It really is as bad as drug or alcohol abuse.
Porn breaks marriages, ruins our self worth, makes people zombies, and the list carries on.
Sad sad sad. I am more determined than ever to stick to this new resolve.
Never to become complancent. That happens when you think you have got the mastery over your thoughts and feelings.
That takes a long time, but fully possible!
Peter

p.s. Remember its just a screen, turn it sideways and then its gone :)
Not real man, not real! Just trash

It is just a screen that doesn't even communicate or give you anything back. Are we all becoming robots stuck in our own homes?

Great job making it past 200 days, Peter. I'm grateful that you're still here showing that recovery is possible.

Your friend,
Absolution.

Hi Ab Old recovering buddy!
Yeah still here. Not going to stop. I do NOT want porn anymore and if we can keep letting others know that it is possible then maybe in a small way we can inspire others to quit. Like Alex has with this whole site.
You likewise have been setting a good example for others.
Boy have I come a long way. Something that I am reading which is very interesting is:
"How to quit without feeling S**t"
Very very very interesting that we need the right chemicals in our brains to be 'normal'.
Sleep is so important, good food, veg, fruits, nuts, and so on.
Like Alex said we need to look after ourselves.

My whole life is changing for the better Ab. As I type this I get teary eyed because it feels good.
Tears of joy :)

I know we do not count days, but the markers help us to get more positive about recovery.
210 days makes me believe that I can actually do this!

Thanks for all your support along the way Ab.

Peter
